Shipping and handling charges for surface shipping to contiguous US destinations are based upon the total order amount as shown in this table:

A Special Note Regarding Shipping Charges: Our shipping prices reflect our actual costs to prepare and ship your order. Shipping is not a profit center for us. Shipping larger orders is far more cost effective than small ones, so we suggest that you place fewer, larger orders (i.e., stock up on items, combine orders with friends, etc.) and whenever possible take advantage of our free shipping option!

When you check out, you are asked to supply information regarding the shipping destination. You must supply a valid street address. We will not ship to a P O Box. This information is used to compute the shipping charges for standard ground service, and these charges are shown in the final order computation. Shipping is accomplished using either UPS or USPS Priority Mail service, at our discretion.

A Special Note Regarding Small Orders: Our shipping prices reflect our actual costs to prepare and ship your order. Shipping is not a profit center for us. As a result, it is not typically cost effective to ship small orders and the customer may wish to consider alternatives.

To upgrade to expedited delivery service, choose one of these from the list box in the Shipping Method section of the order form. We add to your order the expedited shipping surcharge shown below, which is simply a reflection of the much higher prices charged by all freight carriers for their air express delivery services:

Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, APO, FPO Addresses

We ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories, as well as APO and FPO destinations. Shipping is accomplished using either UPS or USPS Priority Mail or Airmail service. Shipping and handling charges are based upon the total order amount as shown in this table:

Other International Destinations

We're sorry, but we do not ship to other international destinations.

Restrictions

While the vast majority of our orders are fulfilled within the shipping price structure quoted here, we must specifically exclude the occassional heavy and bulky shipments.

A shipment is considered heavy or bulky when the actual transportation and insurance cost quoted by the freight carrier is greater than the shipping charge paid by the customer plus 5% of the order's product subtotal (excluding sale items). In the case of a shipment qualifying for free shipment, actual shipping and insurance costs must be less than 12% of the order's product subtotal (excluding sale items).

In the event of a heavy or bulky shipment, we will contact you via EMail or phone with a shipping cost quotation before releasing your order to the freight carrier.

Also, please note that expedited shipping charges are never refundable, even when you believe that you ordered the upgrade in error. This policy reflects the fact that this is a service that we purchase on your behalf, and once your shipment has been released to the carrier, we cannot cancel it or obtain a refund. If you ordered an upgrade in error, you must contact us by phone immediately and prior to shipment.

For international shipments, the recipient may be required to pay local import duties, taxes, or other fees which are entirely beyond our control and are not included in the shipping fees quoted here.

We reserve the right to expedite processing in lieu of expedited shipping, provided that order delivery is accomplished within the quoted time frame.

We wish we could guarantee delivery dates, but we cannot due to too many variables beyond our control. Rest assured that the vast majority of our shipments arrive within the quoted time frame. For the purpose of computing delivery times, orders placed by Noon on a business day will be considered received on that day, otherwise it will be considered received on the next business day.

Sales Tax

Sales tax applies only if the order is placed by an Illinois resident or if the address in the "Ship To" section is in the state of Illinois. In these cases, the sales tax rate of 6.75% applies and is automatically computed against the "Subtotal" amount by the shopping cart software.

All other orders are exempt from sales tax.
